Lorraine DeLuca Placido has a diverse work experience spanning several decades. Lorraine began their career as a Mammographer at Bryn Mawr Hospital in 1982. Lorraine then worked as the Manager of Vascular Lab at Eastwick Medical Associates-Vascular Technics from 1985 to 1999. Following that, they held a role in Practice Operations at Allegheny Health Education & Research Foundation from 1995 to 1999. From 1998 to 2002, Lorraine worked as a Consultant at Pro-Eval Inc., specializing in medical practice management consulting. In 2001, they joined the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania as the Director of Physician Strategy. In this role, they identified business development and growth opportunities, developed relationships with non-Penn physicians and hospitals, and sought partnership opportunities with external organizations. In 2013, Lorraine joined Main Line Health as the System Director of Physician Relations & Recruitment. Lorraine was responsible for developing and managing a system-wide integrated sales program and working with hospital administrators to identify strategic areas of growth. In March 2022, they were promoted to the role of Associate Vice President, Physician Relations and Recruitment. Additionally, Lorraine served as the Interim Director of Strategic Marketing at Main Line Health from August 2017 to September 2019.

Lorraine DeLuca Placido received a Bachelor of Science degree in Allied Health from Widener University in the years 1978-1982. Additionally, they obtained a degree as a Registered Radiographer specializing in General Radiography, Angiography, and Vascular Imaging from Crozer-Widener University School of Radiography between 1980 and 1982. Prior to that, they attended Archbishop Prendergast High School from 1974 to 1978.
