Malissa Langford-Thorp

Malissa Langford-Thorp has a diverse work experience in the insurance industry. Malissa currently holds the position of West Region Sales Director at Main Street America Insurance since December 2021. Prior to this role, they worked as a Business Development Executive at the same company from May 2019 to December 2021. Before joining Main Street America Insurance, they served as a Sales Manager at Nationwide from February 2017 to May 2019. Earlier in their career, they held various roles at The Hartford, including Executive Field Sales Consultant from May 2016 to February 2017 and Personal Lines Senior Sales Rep from November 2010 to May 2016. Additionally, they were a PIA Montana Board of Directors Member at PIA Western Alliance from September 2015 to February 2017. Malissa started their career as a Personal Lines Insurance Agent at AAA MountainWest from 1999 to 2003 and then worked as a Commercial Insurance Producer at Western States Insurance from 2003 to 2010.

Malissa Langford-Thorp attended Chinook High School from 1992 to 1996. After completing high school, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Health & Human Development from Montana State University-Bozeman, graduating in the year 2000. In 1999, during their time at university, they obtained a Property, Casualty and Surety License from the State of Montana Department of Insurance. Later, in 2006, they earned the CISR certification from The National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research. In 2012, they obtained the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) certification from the same institution. Most recently, in 2017, they acquired the Property, Casualty, Life & Health License from the State of Idaho Department of Insurance.
