Pierre-Yves THOULON

Pierre-Yves Thoulon has a diverse work experience that spans several industries and roles. Pierre-Yves is currently the CTO and Co-founder of MainBot, an EdTech & IoT French Start-up that aims to develop The WinkyVerse, a global education games platform. Pierre-Yves is responsible for leading the development of their first product, Winky Robot, which has gained popularity across Europe.

Before their current role, Thoulon was the Co-founder and COO of Crosslux, a French startup specializing in photovoltaic glazing for office buildings. During their time there, they managed various aspects of the business, including R&D, manufacturing, HR, and partnerships. Thoulon worked at Crosslux until February 2018.

Prior to Crosslux, Thoulon served as the Director of Applications & Services at Kalray, where they provided technical support to customers working on Kalray's multi-core processors. Their tenure at Kalray lasted from 2009 to 2012.

Thoulon also has experience in the networking and computer industry. Pierre-Yves held the position of VP, R&D at Arkoon Network Security from October 2006 to February 2009. Before that, they worked at Gemplus, where they held various roles such as Program Director in the Finance department, Director of the Support Response Center, and R&D Manager for Smart Card Readers. Thoulon was responsible for product development, restructuring exercises, and process improvements during their time at Gemplus.

Their early career began at Hewlett-Packard, where they held multiple R&D positions. Pierre-Yves was responsible for software strategy, product roadmaps, and project management in the business computers, PC workstations, networks, and networking products divisions.

Pierre-Yves Thoulon pursued their education in a well-rounded manner, gaining expertise in both engineering and business administration. From 1980 to 1983, they attended CentraleSupélec and completed their degree in Electronics Engineering. Later, in 1998, they enrolled in INSEAD and completed the "Short-form" MBA program, specifically focusing on the Young Managers Programme. Through these educational experiences, Pierre-Yves Thoulon developed a strong foundation in engineering and business management.
