Emily McCarthy

Emily McCarthy is an experienced agricultural and environmental professional currently serving as the Land and Climate Steward at Maine Farmland Trust since May 2022, focusing on developing Climate Adaptation Plans for farmers and facilitating their enrollment in the Climate Smart Farming & Marketing program. Prior roles include Land Steward at Maine Farmland Trust, GrizzlyCorps Rural Climate Fellow at Sequoia Riverlands Trust, and various apprenticeships and internships focused on sustainable agriculture practices, soil health, and farm management. Emily holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies with a focus on Ecological Agriculture from the University of Vermont, where involvement included roles as a teaching assistant and research fellow.
