Nicole Thayer

Nicole Thayer, RN, MBA CPHRM has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Nicole is currently working at MaineHealth as the Director of Clinical Risk Management, where they collaboratively lead and coordinates a system-wide clinical risk management program. Prior to this, they worked at Martin's Point Health Care, starting as a Clinical Operations Lead and eventually earning promotions to become a Clinical Risk Manager. In this role, they oversaw organizational quality efforts, accreditation programs, and served as a clinical risk advisor for various officers. Before Martin's Point Health Care, they worked at Maine Behavioral Healthcare as a Charge Nurse, where they oversaw a team of nursing staff and provided psychiatric care for adult inpatients. Nicole also has research experience, working as a Research Associate at Bayer Pharmaceuticals and as a Research Technician at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Nicole Thayer, RN, MBA CPHRM has a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Carnegie Mellon University. Nicole also holds a Bachelor of Science in Registered Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Furthermore, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Leadership from Saint Joseph's College. Additionally, they are a Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) awarded by the American Society for Health Care Risk Management (ASHRM) in 2022.
