Erik Jorgensen

Erik Jorgensen currently serves as the Senior Director of Government Relations and Communications at MaineHousing, a position held since January 2021. Prior to this role, Erik was the Director of Government Relations at Morton-Kelly Charitable Trust, contributing to grant management and foundation governance. Erik's public service includes serving as a State Representative for District 41 in Portland from 2012 to January 2021, where responsibilities included budget formulation and chairing legislative committees. With previous experience as Executive Director at Maine Humanities Council, Erik managed various grant programs and organizational operations. Erik's early career included leadership at Pejepscot Historical Society and advocacy work at Maine Cultural Affairs Council. Erik holds an AB in Art History from Bowdoin College, an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School, and has completed studies at the University of Sussex in the History of Art.
