Dan Hicks

Dan Hicks is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in renewable energy and project management. Currently serving as the Senior Engineering and Interconnection Manager at Mainspring Energy, Dan focuses on delivering innovative on-site generation solutions using advanced power generation technology. Prior roles include Manager of Renewables Engineering at Duke Energy Corporation, where Dan guided interconnection and engineering teams, and various leadership positions at REC Solar, including Senior Engineering & Interconnection Manager and Senior Project Engineer. Dan's tenure at Stellar Energy as VP Operations and Director of Design and Technology involved overseeing high-quality solar PV system delivery and technology evaluation. Dan's early career includes project management and engineering roles at Midstate Construction, McCarthy, and contract engineering services. Dan holds a Master’s degree in Hardware Engineering from San Jose State University and a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from Sonoma State University.
