Byeongjun Moon

Byeongjun Moon has a diverse range of work experience, primarily in the technology and nonprofit sectors. Byeongjun is currently a Co-Founder at Mainstream Labs, a role they began in March 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Engineer at Endaoment from February to March 2022 and as a Product Designer at Balance.io from January to February 2022.

From 2020 to 2021, Byeongjun was involved with The Knowledge Society (TKS), where they held multiple roles. Byeongjun was an Activator from August 2021 to January 2022, collaborating with various organizations such as 501cTHREE and the UN Women on different projects. Byeongjun also worked with Google X on building a company called Kinisi, focused on restoring mobility to paralyzed patients. Additionally, Byeongjun created a baby safety predictive ML algorithm called Kayla using computer vision and biometric data collected from IoT sensors.

In 2021, Byeongjun served as the Director of IT and Media at Canadian High Schools Model United Nations. Byeongjun was responsible for managing IT and media-related tasks from June 2021 to January 2022.

From 2020 to 2022, Byeongjun was involved with Erevna in multiple roles. Byeongjun served on the Executive Board, where they coordinated efforts to donate personal protective equipment during the coronavirus pandemic and managed the design team for the organization. Byeongjun also contributed to various projects, including the Coronavirus Visualization Team (CVT) and Panel to the People, providing branding and design critiques and coaching junior designers.

In 2020, Byeongjun served as the Executive Director of Policy for the People. Byeongjun organized monthly policy-writing sprints at the Harvard Institute of Politics, which attracted thousands of participants and accumulated numerous volunteer hours.

Byeongjun's other roles include Director of Operations at Hack^2, where they led large high school hackathons, and Founder of Hack+Policy Foundation, a nonprofit organization focused on bridging the gap between STEM and Humanities through hackathons and mentorship programs. Byeongjun also worked as a User Experience Designer at Talk Social for a brief period in 2021.

Byeongjun Moon completed their high school education at Walnut Grove Secondary School from 2017 to 2022, earning a High School Diploma in the field of High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates. Following that, they pursued higher education at the University of Southern California from 2022 to 2026, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Arts, Technology, and the Business of Innovation. Additionally, Byeongjun Moon has obtained several certifications, including "COVID-19 and work: Staying healthy and safe at work during the COVID-19 pandemic" from the World Health Organization in August 2021, "Data Science Foundations - Level 1" from IBM in November 2020, and "Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) Level 5" from the Ministry of Education, China in December 2019.
