Ria Karnik

Ria Karnik is a Managing Director in the Associate Practice Group, based in London. She is an experienced recruitment consultant with over 10 years of experience in the London legal market. Ria works in a consultative manner, providing career guidance to solicitors at all levels of their careers. She also advises law firms on candidate attraction strategies, salaries and benefit packages.

Ria strives to build long-term relationships with her candidates with a view to assist throughout their career trajectory.

Ria joined Major, Lindsey & Africa from RedLaw Recruitment where she managed the London associate team and formed part of the senior leadership. She worked closely with clients across Mid-City, National, International and Silver Circle firms across a range of practice areas. She successfully participated in PSL pitches for Silver Circle firms (in one instance securing one of four spots on the PSL) and was instrumental in securing retained and exclusive assignments for the team across a range of firms.

Previously, Ria was a senior associate at a national legal recruitment agency and the most senior member of the London associate team. She began her recruitment career at a boutique agency, specializing in global Shipping/Marine law vacancies.
