Jonas Lörnell is the current Head of New Markets at MAJORITY. Jonas has held this position for 3 years and 6 months. Prior to this, they were with MAJORITY for 5 years and 8 months, where they were responsible for innovation and strategic projects in the product management team. Jonas's main task was strategic business development to develop the business and product portfolio in the longer term, focusing on establishing Tele2's new positioning on the Swedish consumer market.
In their current role, Jonas is responsible for the set up, launch and operations of a new mobile operator (MVNO) on the Polish market under the Rebtel brand. During their first year, they disrupted the Polish telecom market by launching the world’s first free mobile plan and signed up thousands of new users. The service was brought to the market with a unique community & ambassador go-to-market strategy. Related to that, they won the award for best launch strategy execution at the polish PR & communications gala - Złote Spinacze Awards.
Before their time at MAJORITY, Jonas was with Tele2 for 5 years and 8 months, where they held various positions such as Business Development Manager - Commercial Consumer, Global Partner Manager - Tele2 IoT, Commercial Manager - New Businesses, and Business Development Manager - Comviq. In their role as Business Development Manager - Comviq, they were responsible for the development and start-up of Comviq’s Omni Channel concept - Comviq To Go. For this, they were rewarded with a nominee in the Kinnevik Group Awards in the category "Time Equals Money", selected as 1 of 20 nominees from the whole group of businesses spanning 80 countries, more than 70,000 employees and a hundred different businesses.
Jonas is also a co-founder of Welldays, a lifestyle company with the mission to help and inspire people to feel better by providing high quality supplements and services around nutrition, fitness and mindfulness.
Jonas Lörnell has a Master of Science in Management Economics from Lunds universitet and a degree in Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, International Banking, and Human Resource Management from Hawaii Pacific University. Jonas also has a three year Upper scondary school education in Economics from Sjölins Gymnasium.
