Lauren Geerdes has a diverse work experience in various industries. Lauren started their career in 2005 as a Community Relations Intern at the New Orleans Hornets. Lauren then worked as an Executive Intern at the Oklahoma City All Sports Association in 2008. In 2009, they took on the role of Game Day Promotions at the Oklahoma City Redhawks, before becoming a Captain Consultant at Sports Illustrated later that year. Lauren then joined the St. Louis Cardinals as an Inside Sales Representative, where they played a key role in developing relationships with new and existing accounts. Lauren joined the Phoenix Suns in 2012 as a Group Sales Account Executive, with a focus on managing and growing relationships with group accounts and non-profits. In 2014, they worked as a District Manager at ADP and a Regional Account Manager at FOX Sports. Lauren currently works at Make-A-Wish America, where they have held several positions, including Manager I and Manager II of Corporate Alliances, Senior Manager of National Corporate Partnerships and Development, and currently serving as the National Director of Corporate Partnerships and Development.
Lauren Geerdes received their Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and Broadcasting; Sports Media and Public Relations from Oklahoma State University, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. In 2017, they pursued further education and obtained a Certified Nonprofit Professional certification from Arizona State University, completing the program in 2018. Later on, in 2023, Lauren enrolled at the University of Notre Dame to pursue an Executive Master of Nonprofit Administration degree, which they completed in 2025. Additionally, Lauren obtained a certification in Mentoring Others from LinkedIn in January 2019.
