Shaeema Boer

Shaeema Boer has extensive work experience in the field of user experience design and research. Shaeema recently worked as the Group Head of UX Research at MakeReign | An Interface Company starting in 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior User Experience Designer & Researcher at xneelo (Pty) Ltd from February 2022 to June 2023, where they focused on designing new products and improving the user experience. Before that, they held a similar role at Ringier South Africa from June 2020 to February 2022, where they led remote UX research projects and conducted design sprints.

Shaeema also has experience as a User Experience Designer at Interact RDT from July 2018 to May 2020, where they conducted design and research for various clients and improved the omni-channel experience. Shaeema worked as a Senior Digital Designer at Breadcrumb Group from July 2017 to March 2018.

In addition, Shaeema has experience as a Senior Industrial Designer at Xanita from September 2014 to April 2017, where they conceptualized and designed unitary for various brands. Shaeema also worked as a User Experience Designer at NATIVE VML in 2014, where they researched telephony loan application experiences and collaborated with a UX team.

Earlier in their career, Shaeema worked as an Industrial Designer at Kansai Plascon from April 2013 to July 2013, where they collaborated with interior designers and presented 3D renders to clients. Shaeema also worked as a User Experience Designer & Researcher at Kujali Living Lab from June 2011 to February 2013, conducting research on smartphone applications for general practitioners.

Shaeema's career began as an Industrial Designer at XYZ Design Company in 2009, where they gained comprehensive knowledge about product design and construction processes. Overall, Shaeema Boer has a diverse background in user experience design, research, and industrial design, with a strong focus on improving user experiences across a variety of platforms and industries.

Shaeema Boer obtained a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Industrial and Product Design from Cape Peninsula University of Technology. Shaeema then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Interaction Design (User Experience Design) at the same institution from 2011 to 2014.
