Keith Hammond

Editor In Chief at Make:

Keith Hammond began their work experience as a Senior Editor at The Nose magazine in 1990, holding the position until 1994. Keith then joined Mother Jones as the News Editor for their online platform from 1997 to 1999. In 2000, Hammond became the Washington Director for the Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance, a role they held until 2002 when they transitioned to become the Communications Director for the California Wilderness Coalition until 2004. From 2007 to 2010, they worked at O'Reilly Media as the Copy Chief for MAKE magazine before becoming the Managing Editor from 2010 to 2012. Keith then joined Make: directly in 2013, initially as the Projects Editor for MAKE magazine, before progressing to the position of Learning Editor from 2017 to 2018. Hammond's most recent role at Make: is Editor in Chief, a position they have held since April 2022.

Keith Hammond attended Yale University from 1984 to 1988, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy.
