Anthony David Gatt has a diverse work experience, starting in 2004 as a Content Editor at MaltaMedia News Network. Anthony David then worked as a Journalist at One Productions Ltd from 2006 to 2013. In 2013, they became the Communications Co-ordinator at the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, Mr Louis Grech in the Government of Malta. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as a Policy Assistant at the Office of Dr Miriam Dalli, MEP. In 2016, they became the Deputy Editor at CountryProfiler Malta. In 2017, they joined Malta Enterprise as the Manager of Investment Promotion until 2020 when they became the Head of External Communications. In 2022, they assumed the position of Chief Marketing Officer at Malta Enterprise. Additionally, in 2019, they briefly served as a Member of the National AI Taskforce Working Group at Malta.AI.

Anthony David Gatt has a diverse educational background in journalism and related fields. In 2005, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Communications and European Studies from the University of Malta. In 2008, they completed a Master's degree in Politics and Cultural Studies at Aarhus University.

In 2009, Anthony pursued further studies in journalism, as they enrolled in multiple Master's degree programs. Continuing their education in journalism, Anthony also studied at Swansea University and Danmarks Journalisthøjskole in 2009-2010. At Swansea University, they specialized in War and Conflict Reporting, while at Danmarks Journalisthøjskole, they completed a general MA program in Journalism.
