Ashley Stewart has a diverse background in communications and public relations. Starting in 2007 with internships at MCA Chicago and the Lied Center for Performing Arts, they gained experience in media relations and marketing. From 2008 to 2014, Ashley worked at the Denver Art Museum, where they managed communications and media relations, including PR planning, event management, and collateral design.
In 2014, they joined Level 3 Communications as a Media Relations Manager, developing PR strategies and producing multi-format content. Ashley then transitioned to roles at Webroot, where they served as the Global Senior Media Relations Manager and later as the Global Communications Director, overseeing PR, analyst relations, internal communications, and crisis communications.
Ashley continued to grow their career in the technology industry, working as the Global Communications Director at OpenText and Tanium. At OpenText, they managed communications strategies for the SMB/C business unit, while at Tanium, they built a global PR program and drove extensive media coverage. Most recently, they held the position of Director of Marketing Communications at ExtraHop, where they developed global communications strategies and launched research reports that garnered top-tier coverage.
In 2023, Ashley Stewart will join Malwarebytes as the Director of Analyst and Public Relations. Overall, they have demonstrated a strong track record in developing proactive communications strategies, managing teams, and driving media coverage in targeted outlets.
