Shelly Cook, PMP, has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Shelly began their career as a Client Advocate Consultant at Mobil Business Resources Corporation, where they served as a liaison between internal clients and Global Information Services personnel to resolve end-user issues with GIS-supported applications.

Shelly then worked as a Technical Recruiter at RGE Consulting and LIST, Inc., where they sourced, evaluated, and interviewed prospective candidates for technical staffing solutions. Shelly also developed new business opportunities and managed existing accounts by consulting with senior IT managers to determine staffing needs.

In 2000, Shelly joined Management Concepts Inc., where they held various roles of increasing responsibility. As a Curriculum Development Manager, they worked closely with instructors and subject matter experts to review and update course materials for the Project Management Division. Shelly also managed the ACE review process and evaluated course offerings for project management curriculum.

Shelly later became the Manager of Business Operations for the Project Management division, where they managed all aspects of operations activities, including revenue generation, quality control, and instructor management. Shelly then served as the Resource Director for Project and Program Management, where they developed methodologies and processes to recruit and support delivery resources.

In 2008, Shelly became the Director of Business Operations for Enterprise Performance Solutions, leading a support services team responsible for client engagement management, logistics support, and financial and project reporting. Shelly also developed policies and procedures for the team and ensured quality and performance standards were met.

In 2013, Shelly took on the role of Director of Business Operations for the Financial Management and Project & Program Management divisions. Shelly was responsible for developing and implementing budgets and organizational strategies to ensure effectiveness.

Most recently, Shelly served as the Executive Director of Business Operations, where their responsibilities included overseeing budgets, management reporting, and business process planning. As the VP of Operations, they hold a high-level position within Management Concepts Inc., utilizing their extensive experience to contribute to organizational effectiveness.

Shelly Cook, PMP, completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from George Mason University from 1992 to 1996. In 2005, they obtained the Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
