Harvey Bussell

Harvey Bussell has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. In their most recent role as a Women's Player Recruitment Lead at Manchester United, they are responsible for overseeing the recruitment of female players. Prior to this, they worked as an Emerging Talent Scout for the same club.

Before joining Manchester United, Bussell served as the Head of Recruitment at Millwall Football Club, where they were in charge of recruiting players for the first team and the U23 Development Team. Harvey'sresponsibilities included negotiating contracts with clubs and player agents.

Bussell also held positions at Birmingham City FC, where they served as the Head of Scouting and Senior Scout for the UK and Europe. Harvey was responsible for scouting and recruiting talented players. Additionally, they worked as a Technical Scout at the club.

Earlier in their career, Bussell gained experience in the field of corrections by working for the Harvey'sMajesty's Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS). Harvey held various management positions within different correctional institutions, performing duties such as operations management, strategic management, and conflict resolution.

Bussell also has experience in coaching, having served as the Head Football Coach at the University of Derby and as an Academy Coach and Chief Scout/Opposition Analyst at Burton Albion Football Club.

Before transitioning to the sports industry, Bussell worked as an Information Technology Recruitment Consultant at Syntax Consultancy Ltd and as a Financial Advisor at Pearl Assurance.

Prior to their civilian career, Bussell served in the British Army as a Royal Signaller, participating in tours in Bosnia Herzegovina and representing the army in national and international competitions. Harvey also played semi-professional football for VFL Giesenkirchen while stationed in Germany.

Bussell began their career as a Fitness Instructor at FITNESS EXPRESS (UK) LIMITED.

Harvey Bussell completed their Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Business Management from Staffordshire University from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, they attended HM Prison College from 2007 to 2008, where they obtained an ILM Diploma in Management.

In terms of additional certifications, Harvey Bussell acquired a Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP) from The London Institute of Banking & Finance in July 2022. In November 2020, they obtained a Level 4 in Talent Management, Strategy and Leadership in Football from The Football Association. In February 2018, they acquired a Level 2 in Talent Identification, also from The Football Association. In August 2013, they obtained the Youth Award - Module 2 from The Football Association. Additionally, in May 2013, they obtained the UEFA B Coaching Diploma from UEFA. Lastly, in April 2012, they attained the Youth Award - Module 1 from The Football Association.
