Luke Fedorenko has a diverse work experience in the field of football. Luke began their career as a professional football player at Barnsley Football Club, where they played from 1996 to 2009. Following this, they played as a semi-professional footballer at Belper Town Football Club from 2010 to 2012.
In 2012, Luke transitioned into a coaching and recruitment role. Luke joined Sheffield United PLC as the Head of Development Centres/Academy Coach, responsible for player recruitment through development centers and coaching youth phase players. Luke later became the Academy Chief Scout (Regional) and Head of Assessment and Emerging Talent Centres, before ultimately serving as the Head of Academy Recruitment for players aged 7 to 16.
Luke's most recent position is with Manchester United, where they currently serve as the Head of Local Recruitment. Luke is responsible for overseeing the recruitment of local talent for the club’s academy. Prior to this role, they held the position of Academy Lead Scout for players aged 9 to 11.
Throughout their career, Luke Fedorenko has gained extensive experience in player recruitment, scouting, and coaching at both professional and academy levels.
Luke Fedorenko received a Bachelor's degree in Sports and Exercise from The Manchester Metropolitan University, where they attended from 2012 to 2016. Prior to that, they also completed a Bachelor's degree in Sports and Exercise from Dinnington Comprehensive, where they studied from 2001 to 2006.
