Devanka Aluwihare

Devanka Aluwihare is an experienced Engineering Specialist at Mangan Inc. since June 2018, specializing in safety PLC programming, design of Distributed Control Systems, and Safety Instrumented System lifecycle management per IEC 61511-1. Devanka serves as a Subject Matter Expert and mentor for project engineers in SIS projects at major oil refineries, focusing on Layer Of Protection Analysis and Safety Integrity Level calculations. Devanka previously worked as an Engineer at Mangan Inc. from June 2007 to June 2014, where responsibilities included analyzer evaluation, system design, and field commissioning. Devanka holds a Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering from Boston University and has a G.C.E. Advance Level in Mathematics from S. Thomas' College in Sri Lanka.
