Pary Palanisamy has a strong background in marine engineering, with experience in various roles and responsibilities. Pary started their career in 2010 as a 3rd Engineer at Maersk Line, Limited, where they were responsible for various systems on board the ships. Pary then moved on to become a 2nd Engineer on the Maersk Peary, where they managed several key systems. In 2013, they joined Noble Drilling as a 2nd Engineer and later took on the role of 1st Engineer on the Noble Bully 1. Pary was then promoted to 1st Engineer on the Noble Discoverer, an Arctic drill ship. In 2017, they joined Manson Construction Co. as a Relief Chief Engineer/1st Engineer and eventually became the Chief Engineer on board the Dredge Glenn Edwards, North America's largest trailing suction hopper dredge. Throughout their career, Pary has gained experience in managing and maintaining various engine room systems and equipment.
Pary Palanisamy completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering at the State University of New York Maritime College from 2006 to 2010. In addition to their degree, Pary Palanisamy has obtained various certifications, including a 3rd Assistant Engineer Unlimited Horse Power Steam and Gas Turbine License from the U.S. Coast Guard, a Chief Engineer Unlimited Horse Power Diesel License from the U.S. Coast Guard, Kongsberg K-Chief 700 certification from Kongsberg Maritime, Kongsberg K-Pos Maintenance certification from Kongsberg Maritime, a Stationary Steam Engineer 3rd Class certification from the State of Maine, a Tankerman PIC-DL certification from the U.S. Coast Guard, a Universal Technician in Refrigeration certification from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and a Vessel Security Officer certification from the U.S. Coast Guard.
