Joshua Rutz has held a variety of roles in the software engineering industry since 2008. In 2008, they were a Teaching Assistant at DigiPen Institute of Technology. In 2010, they became a Software Engineer at Zynga, where they worked on FarmVille, primarily bugs and feature development, as well as supported development for a content management system within the team. In 2012, they were promoted to Senior Gameplay Engineer at KIXEYE, where they worked on the server and client side of the mobile game War Commander: Rogue Assault. In 2017, they became a Senior Client Engineer at Super Evil Megacorp, where they worked on a mobile multiplayer MOBA title called Vainglory, and developed out-of-game product features related to payment, social, reward, and inventory management. Most recently in 2021, they became the Software Engineering Manager at Manticore Games Inc.
Joshua Rutz attended DigiPen Institute of Technology from 2006 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Real Time Interactive Simulation.
