Bryan Dowson has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Bryan began their career as an Electrical Apprentice at British Steel in 1986 and later became an Electrician and Team Leader at Corus. In 2000, they transitioned to the technology sector and worked as a Helpdesk Support at Charterhouse Isle of Man before becoming a Private Sector Field Engineer at 2e2. In 2005, Bryan joined Manx Telecom as a Technical Specialist II, where they provided operational support and developed core network and related services for the Isle of Man Government. Bryan also worked as a Technical Specialist in Hosting and Datacentre Operations. Bryan then worked as a NOC professional at noc396 from May 2016 to January 2018. In 2018, Bryan co-founded Riela Cyber Ltd, where they served as a Cyber Security Engineer. In this role, they were involved in all aspects of the company's creation and ongoing business, including researching, testing, and implementing monitoring systems. Bryan recently joined Manx Telecom as a Senior Network Engineer in October 2020.
Bryan Dowson attended Isle of Man College from 2000 to 2003, where they pursued a field of study in Computing and Information Technology. Prior to that, they studied at Longlands College from 1986 to 1988, focusing on Electrical Engineering and obtaining a National Certificate in the field. Their education began at Stapylton Comprehensive from 1981 to 1986, though the specific field of study is not provided.
