Mustafa Elkalza, CPA, CSAA has over 15 years of experience in the finance and accounting industry. In 2019, they were appointed as the Chief Financial Officer of Manzil, where they established and managed all finance functions of the organization in line with its strategic plan and policies and navigated its growth. In 2018, they were the Director of Finance and Corporate Services at the Ontario Community Support Association (OCSA), where they lead a digital strategy project to improve organizations digital presence and conducted a full technological review to improve systems in place. From 2014 to 2018, they were the Senior Finance Manager at the Community Development Council Durham, where they implemented key strategic objectives resulting in revenue diversity, improving operational efficiency, company culture changes, and technological advances. From 2009 to 2014, they held various positions at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada, including Accounting Manager, Assistant Accounting Manager, and Accountant- Contract. In 2007, they were an Accountant at ICA Canada. In 2005, they were a Bookkeeper at ADA Medical Ltd. and in 2004, they were a Proposal Developer Intern at Deutsche Bank.
Mustafa Elkalza, CPA, CSAA has an education history that includes a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Ryerson University, which they completed in 2008. Mustafa then obtained a CMA from the Society of Management Accountants of Ontario in 2011. In 2021, they obtained a Certificate in Business Excellence - CFO Program from Columbia Business School Executive Education. Finally, they are currently in the process of obtaining a CMA from Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) and a Certified Shari'ah Advisor and Auditor (CSAA) from the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI), which is expected to be completed in 2023.
