Miguel Marques has a strong background in geospatial analysis and geomarketing. Miguel started their career as a GIS Consultant at Marktest in 1997 and later became a Geomarketing Senior Consultant at Novabase, where they developed a Geocoding solution and worked on GIS projects for various industries. Miguel also worked as a Geomarketing Specialist at Banco Santander Totta, where they focused on spatial modeling and target selection for territorial campaigns. Miguel then became a Teacher at FCSH/NOVA and Universidade de Lisboa, where they taught practical modules on the strategic importance of geographic information in business organizations. Miguel also founded Mapidea, a company that helps organizations utilize location data for better decision-making. Throughout their career, Miguel has gained experience working with a diverse range of clients, including telecom companies, banks, government agencies, and retail businesses.
Miguel Marques completed their Licentiate degree in Geography and Regional Planning at Universidade Nova de Lisboa from 1993 to 1997. Miguel then pursued a Master's degree (post-graduation) in Territorial Management at the same university from 1997 to 1999. Prior to their university education, Miguel Marques attended Colégio Planalto, although the specific dates and field of study are unknown.
