John May

John May is a Senior Developer at Maplesoft since September 2007, focusing on enhancing and maintaining algebraic solvers, symbolic integrators, and visualization tools within the Maple computer algebra system. Additionally, John serves as a Product Expert at JPL, where training and consulting efforts involve collaborating with engineers to develop tools in Maple and integrating MapleMBSE into systems engineering processes. Prior experience includes serving as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Delaware, addressing exact and hybrid-numeric linear algebra problems, and as a Post-doc Researcher and Lecturer at the University of Waterloo, which involved research on numerical polynomial operations and teaching undergraduate computer science courses. John holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from North Carolina State University and both BA and MA degrees in Mathematics from the University of Oregon.
