Boris von Bormann

Boris von Bormann is a prominent figure in the fields of energy and transportation, serving as the Founder and Managing Partner of renu ventures since July 2018, where the focus is on growth capital investments in connected, autonomous, shared, and electric transportation. In addition to co-founding renu energy TCI, which aims to promote sustainable energy in the Turks and Caicos Islands, Boris holds the position of Vice Chair and Board Member at LA CoMotion, a platform for innovation in transportation and technology. Previous roles include CEO of Mercedes-Benz Energy and Sonnen Inc., where expertise in energy storage systems and charging infrastructure was honed. Boris's extensive background includes directorship at Soltecture GmbH and ownership of SK Solar, along with advisory positions at Marain and the National NEV Technology Innovation Center. Boris completed education at TU Dortmund University and California State University-Long Beach.
