Michael Downing

Michael Downing is a part-time faculty member at Valencia College since July 2020 and serves as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor at Scuba Works, where responsibilities include assisting and occasionally teaching open water scuba classes. Michael has held roles in cybersecurity, currently working as a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst (Penetration Tester) at Marcum Technology since August 2020, and previously as a Cyber Security Analyst (Penetration Tester). Academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity from the University of Maine at Augusta and an Associate of Science in Network Engineering (Cyber-Security) from Valencia College. Prior experience also includes roles as a range officer and technical sales.
