Director Of Spiritual Care And Education at Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital

Linnea Winquist has extensive work experience in the field of spiritual care. Linnea currently holds the position of Manager of Spiritual Care at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. Prior to this, they were the Director of Spiritual Care and Education at Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital. Linnea also worked as a Chaplain at Good Samaritan Hospital, providing compassionate spiritual care and offering ethics consults and education. Linnea served as a Chaplain at Edward Hospital, leading grief support groups and meditation services. Linnea gained experience as a Chaplain Resident at Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare, where they provided specialized spiritual care for patients receiving mental health care. Earlier in their career, they served as a Worship and Arts Pastor at Batavia Covenant Church and as a Field Director at Kids Alive International. Linnea also worked as an Extended Adjunct Professor at Bethel University and as an Associate Pastor at Elim Church, showcasing their leadership and teaching abilities.

Linnea Winquist completed their Bachelor's Degree in Biblical and Theological Studies from Bethel University between the years 1983 and 1987. Linnea later pursued a Master's Degree in Masters of Divinity with a concentration in ethics from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. Additionally, Linnea underwent Clinical Pastoral Education for their chaplaincy education. Currently, they are enrolled at the United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities, working towards their Doctor of Ministry DMin degree in Interreligious Chaplaincy.

Linnea Winquist also obtained several certifications. Linnea is a Board certified Chaplain from the Spiritual Care Association and the ASSOCIATION OF PROFESSIONAL CHAPLAINS, INC. Furthermore, they hold a certification in Critical Incident Stress Debriefing and has completed Domestic Violence Counselor Training. Additionally, Linnea is a Licensed Reiki Practitioner and a Licensed, endorsed, and commissioned Minister from Elim Church and Baptist General Conference/Converge.
