Darcy Ellsworth Yow began their work experience in 1992 as a 6th-8th grade Spanish, English literature, and Language Arts teacher and advisor at Stuart Hall For Boys. In 1993, they joined Marin Country Day School as a Spanish Teacher and 6th-8th Grade Advisor, and later became the Director of Community Engagement in 2010. In 2007, Darcy became self-employed as a Speaker, Workshop Leader, and Consultant. In 2014, they started working at Challenge Success as a School Leadership Coach, where they worked with students, parents, teachers, and administrators at K-8 schools to promote a broader notion of youth success. Darcy'stime at Challenge Success ended in 2018.

Darcy Ellsworth Yow has a diverse education history. Starting from 1985 to 1988, Darcy attended San Francisco University High School, where they did not obtain a degree or specialize in a specific field of study.
