Tom Townsend

Tom Townsend has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Tom began their career at BAE Systems as a Graduate HR Analyst, initially working in Shared Services before transitioning to the Compensation and Benefits team. After this, Tom joined Ford Motor Credit Company as an HR Officer, where they were the primary HR contact for Finance and Strategy employees as well as the central HR contact for the Italian office. Tom then moved on to uSwitch, an online price comparison site, as an HR Operations Manager, overseeing HR activities during a period of growth and downsizing. Tom then joined BioMedCentral.com as an HR Manager, responsible for operational HR and strategic initiatives. Currently, they are the Global Head of HR & Talent Acquisition at Marin Software, where they lead HR and Talent Acquisition globally across Europe, the US, and APAC, reporting directly to the CEO.

Tom Townsend attended the University of Kent from 2001 to 2004, where they obtained a degree in Industrial Relations and HRM. Later, from 2007 to 2010, they attended ICS CIPD, completing a degree in the Specialist and Generalist fields.
