Tyler Mermis

Tyler Mermis is an experienced law enforcement professional currently serving as a Code Enforcement Officer for the City of McPherson since November 2023. Tyler's career includes roles as a Deputy Sheriff at Barton County Sheriff, an Insurance Specialist at Allstate, and extensive leadership positions within the Marion Police Department, including Chief of Police and Assistant Chief. Previous experience also includes military service as an Infantryman in the Kansas Army National Guard and the United States Marine Corps. Tyler's law enforcement background is further supported by positions as a Police Officer at Kinsley Police Department, Hoisington Police Department, and Great Bend Police Department, as well as experience as a K9 Handler at Stafford County Sheriff's Office.
