Jorge Pascoal

Jorge Pascoal has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Jorge currently works as a Data Engineer at Marionete since November 2020. Prior to that, they worked at BI4ALL as a Business Intelligence Consultant from May 2019 to October 2020, Business Intelligence Associate Consultant from May 2019 to May 2020, and as a Business Intelligence Trainee Consultant from October 2018 to May 2019. Before joining the corporate world, Jorge pursued their education, completing their PHD at Instituto Superior Técnico from November 2014 to March 2018. Jorge also served as a Visiting Scholar at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from November 2012 to November 2014. Jorge began their career as an MSc Student at the Center for Neuroscience and Cell Biology from September 2010 to July 2011.

Jorge Pascoal began their education in 2006 at Universidade do Algarve, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences, General. Jorge completed this degree in 2009. Following their undergraduate studies, Jorge continued their education at the same institution and obtained a Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences, General from 2009 to 2011.

After completing their Master's degree, Jorge went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Bioengineering at Instituto Superior Técnico from 2011 to 2020.

In addition to their academic degrees, Jorge Pascoal has also obtained several certifications. In 2017, they completed a course on "Design and Interpretation of Clinical Trials" from Coursera. In 2018, they acquired proficiency in "Introduction to Structured Query Language (SQL)" through Coursera as well. In 2020, they obtained a certification in "Business Analysis Fundamentals" from Udemy. More recently, in 2021, Jorge completed two certifications from Google Cloud Skills Boost, namely "Google Cloud Big Data and Machine Learning Fundamentals" and "Modernizing Data Lakes and Data Warehouses with Google Cloud."
