Dorothy White

Dorothy White, ACAS, CPA, currently serves as the Managing Director and Global Head of Actuarial Operations at Markel, a position held since September 2023. Prior to this role, Dorothy amassed extensive experience at State National Companies (SNC) from May 2015 to September 2023, where responsibilities included Senior Director, Director of Actuarial Services, Manager of Actuarial Services, and Senior Actuary. Dorothy's career also includes tenure as an Actuary at Specialty Risk Solutions (October 2011 - April 2015) and Zurich North America (July 2005 - October 2009), as well as work as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2010. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois Chicago (2010 - 2011) and a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science from the University of Iowa (2000 - 2005).
