Alex Barr

Alex Barr is a seasoned professional in the music industry, currently serving as the Research and Development Engineering Manager at Markertek America's Broadcast Supply House since September 2021. Previously, Alex held various positions at Getty Images for over a decade, culminating in roles focused on managing music content operations and development, as well as overseeing a team of content specialists. Alex's entrepreneurial spirit is evident from owning and operating Barr Amplification, specializing in custom vacuum tube amplifiers, from 2007 to 2019. Additionally, experience as a Licensing Specialist at Pilot Music Business Services and a Content Specialist at Pump Audio has further sharpened Alex's expertise in music licensing and content management. Alex graduated from Bard College in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Theory and Composition.
