Shahjahan Warraich

Shahjahan Warraich has held a variety of roles in the tech industry since 2008. Shahjahan began their career as a Software Developer for McGill University's Department of Cosmology, where they developed and tested instrumentation utilizing FPGA technology. In 2009, Warraich joined Research In Motion as an Embedded Systems Developer and McGill University's Centre for Intelligent Machines as a Research Associate and Technical Research Associate. Shahjahan designed a high performance algorithm for the Natural Interactive Walking project, and implemented a sensor fusion scheme on top of an OSC based networking protocol. In 2011, they joined Market IQ Inc. as Chief Technology Officer, where they developed platforms enabling the fusion of structured and unstructured data in various domains, and developed an elaborate tool to model stock market behaviour. Most recently, in 2020, Warraich became Co-Founder of Udhaar Book.

Shahjahan Warraich is currently enrolled in Y Combinator in 2021. Previously, they attended McGill University from 2006 to 2011, where they earned a BEng in Honours Electrical Engineering, with a Minor in Management.
