Sarah McMath has a diverse work experience. Sarah currently serves as a Member of the Board of Trustees at The Don McMath Foundation and as the President of the South East region at the Institute of Water. Sarah has also held positions in various organizations, including the National Oceanography Centre, Market Operator Services Limited (MOSL), and Thames Water. At Thames Water, they held multiple roles, including Managing Director of Water, Head of Strategy, Head of Strategic Business Planning, and Head of Asset Management. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Microbiologist at Leatherhead Food RA, where they published three peer-reviewed scientific papers.
Sarah McMath attended Purley High School for Girls from 1984 to 1988. Sarah then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology at the University of Surrey from 1989 to 1993. Following that, they obtained an Engineering Doctorate in Environmental Technology from the same university, completing their studies from 1994 to 1998.
