Kristin Pereira (Stoehr)

Kristin (Stoehr) Pereira has over 30 years of work experience in various industries. Their most recent role was as Head of Risk, Americas at MarketAxess, a FinTech company focused on creating a liquidity pool and digital marketplace for fixed-income bonds. In this role, they designed and led the new Enterprise Risk program for North America, including operational risk management, vendor risk management, business continuity, and technology risk governance.

Prior to their role at MarketAxess, Kristin worked in operational risk leadership and board membership in the financial services, insurance, and investments industries. Kristin served as a Board Member for the Rensselaer Polytechnic Lally School of Management Advisory for Quantitative Finance and Risk Analytics, as well as for Habitat for Humanity of Coastal Fairfield County Women Build.

Before that, Kristin worked at Synchrony (formerly GE Card Services) as Operational Risk Governance - Technology, and at GE Asset Management as Operational Risk - Investments. In these roles, they leveraged their financial services operations expertise and six sigma analytic skills to identify, assess, and manage operational risks across various processes.

Kristin also has experience in operations and investments middle office roles at Genworth (formerly GE Investments) and GE. Kristin was responsible for managing trade operations, data quality, corporate actions, custody reconciliations, client services, records management, operational risk, business continuity, compliance operations, and pricing.

At GE, they also served as a Six Sigma Blackbelt, Master Blackbelt, and Quality Leader, where they applied statistical methodology and data analytics to drive process improvements in the areas of marketing, sales, business development, data integrity, and underwriting. Kristin also managed training programs and worked as a mechanical engineer, designing and providing technical support for jet engines.

Before joining GE, Kristin worked as a mechanical engineer at Netstal Maschinen AG in Switzerland, where they applied European standards and design practices for plastic injection molding machinery.

Kristin (Stoehr) Pereira has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Kristin also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Economics from the University of Cincinnati Carl H. Lindner College of Business. In addition to their academic achievements, Kristin has obtained several certifications. Kristin holds a CRISC certification from ISACA, obtained in December 2016. Kristin also has a CFA Claritas Certification from the CFA Institute, obtained in January 2015. Furthermore, they hold certifications in Six Sigma, including Black Belt, Master Black Belt, and Quality Leader, which were obtained from GE in May 1997.
