Tim Boobar

Tim Boobar joined Marketplace Chaplains in May 2022 and serves as the Chief Financial Officer. He has worked in the DFW area in leadership roles in the energy, private equity, and tradeshow industries. He oversees the finance and human resources teams at Marketplace. Tim holds an MBA in finance from The University of Texas at Dallas, an undergraduate degree in accounting from Texas A&M University at Commerce, and a Master of Liberal Studies in Organizational Dynamics from Southern Methodist University. He is a licensed CPA in the State of Texas. He has lived in the Plano community for over 30 years and serves on the boards of Sky Ranch Christian camps, Hendrick Scholarship Foundation, and the College of Business Advisory Board at Texas A&M University at Commerce. Tim and his wife Kathy Allen-Boobar, who serves as a music teacher at Prestonwood Christian Academy, have four grown, married children and twelve grandchildren. He came to Marketplace Chaplains to use his gifts to impact the Kingdom through ministry.
