Jim McGrath

Jim McGrath has over 20 years of experience in engineering and program management roles. Jim is currently the Director of Manufacturing Engineering and Quality at Markforged, where they oversee manufacturing processes and ensures quality control. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Manager of Program Management at Symbotic, where they led the development of automated warehouse distribution systems. Jim also has extensive experience at Bose Corporation, holding various senior engineering and management positions. Jim has managed product development teams, led assembly process engineering projects, and established global engineering departments. Before joining Bose, Jim worked at MKPA-Panasonic, where they directed development engineering projects and managed new product development. Jim also worked at Quantum Corporation/Matsushita Kotobuki as a Mechanical Slider Development Manager and HGA Automation Group Leader. Jim has a strong background in engineering and program management, with a focus on optimizing manufacturing processes, leading teams, and delivering results.

Jim McGrath holds a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics, with a field of study in Robotics and Automation, from the University of Rhode Island. Jim also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics from the same university. Additionally, Jim has completed a Leadership for Higher Performance Certificate Program at the Bose Corporation.
