Daniel McGrath

Lead Operating Engineer at Markley Group

Daniel McGrath has worked for three companies throughout their career. From 2012 to 2013, they worked as an Electric Ops Intern for NSTAR (Operating comp of Northeast Utilities. Other comp incl CL&P, PSNH, WMECO,Yankee Gas). During this time, they reported to the New Customer group and the Maintenance and Construction group in the Mass Ave Service Center's Electrical Operations Department. Daniel assisted with the planning of work and the supervision of the Underground Network crews, and gained experience with and utilized various software programs, such as Fastview (GIS), Passport, Teleforms, and Fleetoutlook. Daniel also organized and corrected information within the company's GPS vehicle tracking software. From 2013 to 2014, Daniel worked as an Operating Engineer for Markley, where they were responsible for the operation and maintaining of infrastructure supporting client's critical loads. Daniel then became the Lead Operating Engineer for Markley from 2014 to present, where they are in charge of shift operating engineers.

Daniel McGrath attended the Massachusetts Maritime Academy from 2009 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Facilities Engineering and Management. In June 2012, they obtained an EPA Universal Certification (Refrigerant Transition and Recovery) from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). In June 2014, they obtained a Second Class Fireman's License from the Massachusetts Department of Public Safety.
