Rune Birkeland

Rune Birkeland has extensive work experience in the IT and security industry. Rune started their career at Palantir AS in 2012 as the Chief Customer Officer, where they served until January 2017. In the same year, they joined Marlink as a Team Leader for Changes/Project Management. Rune later progressed to become a Senior IT Consultant in September 2019. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Professional Services and Presales, Marlink IT & Security.

Rune Birkeland completed their Bachelor's degree in Information Technology with a specialization in Network Administration at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 2005 to 2017. In 2009, they also took a course on Project Management (PK6200) at NTNU. In addition to their educational background, they obtained the following certifications: MCPS (Microsoft Certified Professional) from Microsoft in April 2012, and MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist) in Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure, Configuration from Microsoft in January 2011.
