Joon Kim

Joon Kim is a skilled engineering professional with extensive experience in site reliability and software engineering. Currently serving as a Founding Engineer at MarqVision since August 2021, Joon's prior roles include Site Reliability Engineer III and II at Mailchimp from July 2019 to August 2021, where responsibilities involved enhancing system reliability and performance. Joon also contributed as a Research Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology between December 2016 and May 2019, and interned in site reliability engineering and software engineering positions at MailChimp and Infosys, respectively. Notably, an intelligent expert search engine named Smart-Search was developed during the internship at Infosys, utilizing natural language processing techniques. Joon's military experience includes serving as a Squad Leader in the Republic of Korea Army. Joon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology, attained in 2019.
