Gabriel Walford

Gabriel Walford is a highly experienced software engineer and engineering manager with a diverse background in developing and leading technology solutions across several companies. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Marriott International since April 2024, Gabriel previously held the role of Senior Software Engineer Technical Lead at Tackle.io, where efforts focused on creating an event-driven system and a Python API to enhance user engagement with Cloud initiatives. Prior to that, Gabriel managed engineering teams at Uplight and contributed to scalable product development, while also architecting systems for scheduling Demand Response events. Early career experiences include significant leadership roles at Tendril and BausCode, fostering best practices in software development and mentoring teams. Gabriel holds a Master's Degree in Emergent Digital Practices from the University of Denver and dual Bachelor's degrees in Digital Arts, Printmaking, and Art History from the University of Colorado Boulder.
