Karina Zimerfeld serves as the Global Vice President of R&D Food & Nutrition at Mars, starting in March 2023, where responsibilities include overseeing technical aspects that enhance consumer satisfaction and business sustainability while shaping the future of Mars Food & Nutrition. Prior to this, Karina held various leadership roles at Unilever from January 1999 to March 2023, including Global Vice President of R&D Foodsolutions, where global B2B food operations were managed across over 55 markets, and Global R&D Director, focusing on delivering consumer-centric innovations for Unilever's largest food category. Karina's extensive experience encompasses regional leadership in Latin America and global roles in technology transfer and product development, alongside a solid educational background with an MBA from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas and a degree from Universidade Estadual de Campinas.
