Steven Handmaker

Steven Handmaker is an accomplished marketing professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles within the insurance and communications sectors. Currently serving as Chief Marketing Officer at Marsh & McLennan Agency since February 2021, Steven is focused on developing comprehensive marketing strategies to drive revenue growth. Previously, Steven held the CMO position at Assurance from December 2004 to February 2021, overseeing marketing efforts for one of the largest independent insurance brokerage operations in the U.S. Additional experience includes serving as Director of Marketing and Communications for Near North National Group and as Director of Promotion at Illinois State Medical Insurance Services. Steven's early career also includes roles in web content and marketing communications. Steven obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations from Illinois State University.
