Chris Cairns

Chris Cairns is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in the finance and technology sectors. Currently working at Marshall Wace since February 2022, Chris contributes to the FinOps team, focusing on essential business functions such as Operations, Treasury, Corporate/Fund Accounting, and Trading. Previous roles include serving as QIS Tech Lead and Senior Developer at Credit Suisse, where strategic tooling for Equity Derivatives was developed, and as a Senior Developer at Baker Technology, specializing in trading systems for tier 1 investment banks. Chris has also held leadership positions, including Development Manager at KPMG, where a dedicated project team was built for KPMG Tax. With a strong foundation in technologies such as C#, WebAPI, ReactJS/Redux, and more, Chris's career is complemented by a BSc in Computing from the University of Leeds.
