Dean Gardner has extensive work experience in the engineering field. Dean started their career in 2001 as a Project Engineer at a company called VITAL/HACT, where they worked on the development of a Fly-By-Wire active cockpit system for Apache AH-64D helicopters. From there, they took on various roles, including Technical Manager at Airbus, Lead Mechanical Design Engineer at NASA, and Principal Mechanical Design Engineer at MBDA. Dean also worked as a Project Engineering Manager at GE Oil & Gas and as an Engineering Manager at Atkins. Currently, Dean is serving as the Principal Mechanical Design & Manufacturing Lead at MARSS Group. In their previous roles, they have been responsible for managing engineering functions, leading design teams, developing product design schemes, and collaborating with clients and contractors. Dean's expertise includes composite design, reverse engineering, precision optical scanning technology, and mechanical design.
Dean Gardner attended the University of the West of England from 1998 to 2001, where they obtained a Second Class Honours degree in B.Eng. Aerospace Manufacturing Engineering. In addition, they obtained a certification in Onshape Bootcamp from Onshape, a PTC Technology, in 2023.
