Zhiyan Qu

Zhiyan Qu has a diverse work experience that spans different industries.

In 2014, Zhiyan worked as a website developer at the Co-op Office of the University of Ottawa. Here, they developed a jobs navigation system that allowed users to interact and manage job information. This system is still in use at the university.

From 2014 to 2015, Zhiyan also worked as a website developer at the Student Academic Success Service (SASS) at the University of Ottawa. Here, they built a survey system that automatically sent survey invitations to students after visiting SASS. They also developed the ability for administrators to create and edit surveys.

In 2017, Zhiyan became self-employed and ran a small business with a partner trading antique jewelries and porcelains overseas. They created and maintained a website to showcase their products. Sadly, this business ceased operating due to the impact of COVID-19.

Most recently, Zhiyan has joined Martello Technologies in 2022 as a software developer.

This program was a joint offering between the University of Ottawa and Carleton University. Zhiyan Qu completed their master's degree in 2016, specializing in Computer Science.
