Akihiko Suzuki

Akihiko (Aki) Suzuki is a Senior Business Development Manager at Marubeni Corporation, focusing on decarbonisation projects for cities and infrastructure in the UK since September 2019. Previously, Aki served as a Senior Commercial Manager, developing off-grid business and independent power production in Africa. Before joining Marubeni, Aki worked as an Assistant Manager, where responsibilities included developing independent and integrated power projects in Africa, along with experience in thermal and renewable power plant projects, and project financing. Aki's career began at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, working in international sales and marketing for power systems from April 2010 to June 2016. Early professional experience includes a two-month internship at Geofizyka Torun Sp. z o.o. in marketing, contracts, and sales. Aki holds a Master's degree in East Asian Regional Development from the University of Leeds, completed in 2009.
