Leon Huang is a seasoned firmware engineer with extensive experience in developing and optimizing firmware solutions for SSD controllers and IO management. Currently serving as a Sr Principal Firmware Engineer at Marvell Technology since August 2019, Leon prototypes Gen6 SSD controllers and previously held the position of Principal Firmware Engineer focusing on SSD firmware development. Prior to this, Leon worked at Microsemi (now Microchip) from January 2016 to August 2019 as a Firmware Design Tech Leader, where responsibilities included leading the 24G SAS IO Controller firmware projects and enhancing firmware performance. Leon's earlier tenure at PMC-Sierra (now Microsemi) from September 2009 to December 2015 included roles as Firmware Design Tech Leader and Staff Software Design Engineer, during which time Leon architected the Linux NTB driver for the Switchtec® PCIe Switch and developed drivers for SAS IO Controllers on both Linux and Windows platforms, significantly improving driver IO performance.
